HK is actually much easier if you avoid all bosses / minibosses as much as possible and go grab movement upgrades (claw / super-dash etc) and charms before doing anything related to them and farm geo for early stuff. but not if they're in front of the DPS / skill upgrades and not if they end up being more trouble than the bosses / content they protect. Range = dodging time is much more lenient. Go look at the "no damage on bosses" youtube vids - he's obviously over-charmed using both nail + pride and fragile str, probably with nail arts. Soul Warrior is one in particular: totally face rolled the boss on first try - died to that one 5-8 times. Hornet / first Green Knight / Soul Warrior (before the boss when you've not got more than 1 nail upgrade / dash) and Watcher Knights all suffer from this - they're supposed to be Gate Checks for upgrades, but end up much harder than the bosses / content that they guard. Hornet should never have been boss #2, it's a difficulty spike that barely gets repeated (rolling / bouncing enemies due to randomness hit this badly though, even with late game builds not using fragile strength). This is a major design flaw, and makes the early game much harder than mid / late game. Later the game is much more forgiving once you've got the nail charm since you don't have to judge the ranges so exactly. The amount of damage I took early game from contact with enemies rather than actual attacks was in the range of 80:20 (doesn't help with an imprecise walk forward movement). the large bugs with clubs / early game green knights, esp pre-dash) - the controls let the player down, not the patterns. You can bounce off the needle with a downslash is usually my best advice for her fight.Ī major factor in all of this is that you start with a very small range and hit-boxes are dodgy, so you have to be very precise in your positioning (c.f. Some people can breeze past her try 1 or try 2, but lots of other people struggle fighting her. Don't actively attack her since we haven't figured out if it works yet. Both ground charge and air charge offer us the chance to counter attack.which means we need to stay far enough to dodge returning needle by jumping Returning needle means we can't stay at middle range.Ground charge means we can't stay close to her.Now let's figure out our own tactical plan. Forward jump: occasionally she just jumps forward without doing air charge / string defend.Good thing is the needle doesn't reach as far as a full screen. At medium range this is almost impossible to dodge. Returning needle: This is annoying since her needle does damage on both ways.Just counter-attack like the ground charge. This is easier to dodge since it takes her longer to start moving. Air charge: charging which starts in the air toward wherever you are.In case you haven't figured out: you can jump and attack downward. It's best to keep your distance and attack her after she charged. This is pretty hard to dodge if you're at close range. Ground charge: charge attack on the ground with a pretty quick start which goes as far as half a screen.String defend: swinging her string to keep you away. ![]() Let's give our tsundere Hornet an observation: what kind of attacks does she do? You might have heard this saying of "learn the attack pattern". ![]() Given decent execution, a viable strategy will help you win the fight with a good amount of fault tolerance (read: you can take damage but still win).Īlright, back to the Hornet fight. Some fights could be solved by brute force, but there is always at least one "cleaner" approach. It's like solving a puzzle: once you figured it out, it just became easy. Well here is the thing: boss fights in Hollow Knight require both tactical planning and good execution. So, is the Hornet fight actually easy or difficult? Might as well go back to real life." More formally, a system is self-stabilizing if and only if, despite the arbitrary initial state, at least one privileged node will always exist and the system eventually reaches a legitimate state within a limited number of moves. A distributed setting like WSN is considered self-stabilizing if it reaches a legitimate state in case of node leaves. Self-stabilization is one of the best candidates for WSNs to provide fault tolerance and to deal with their ad hoc nature.Ī sensor node can leave WSN due to software failures, battery drains and other similar faults. Fault tolerance is an important property to deal with these kinds of challenges. In such environments, tiny sensor motes can malfunction due to natural challenges. Most of the time, WSNs are deployed for various applications in forests, mines and land borders, where they should bear harsh circumstances. They are crucial communication layer technologies for providing environmental sensing operations in the Internet of Things (IoT). ![]() Wireless sensor networks (WSNs) do not have a predefined structure to maintain fundamental data-transfer operations. The gathered measurements from the simulations revealed that the proposed algorithms are faster than their competitors, use less energy and offer better vertex cover solutions. Moreover, we provide simulation setups by applying IRIS sensor node parameters and compare our algorithms with their counterparts. We theoretically analyze the algorithms to provide proof of correctness and their step complexities. The second algorithm assumes 2-hop (degree 2) knowledge about the network and runs under the unfair scheduler, which subsumes the synchronous and distributed fair scheduler and stabilizes itself after O ( n ) moves in O ( n ) step, which is acceptable for most WSN setups. The first algorithm is stabilized under an unfair distributed scheduler (that is, the scheduler which does not grant all enabled nodes to make their moves but guarantees the global progress of the system) at most O ( n 2 ) step, where n is the count of nodes. To the best of our knowledge, these algorithms are the first attempts in this manner. In this paper, we propose two self-stabilizing capacitated vertex cover algorithms for WSNs. A capacitated vertex cover is the generalized version of the problem which restricts the number of edges covered by a vertex by applying a capacity constraint to limit the covered edge count. A useful graph theoretical structure is the vertex cover that can be utilized in various WSN applications such as routing, clustering, replica placement and link monitoring. ![]() In this technique, a scheduler decides on which nodes could execute their rules regarding spatial and temporal properties. Therefore, the utilization of self-stabilization, which is one of the fault-tolerance techniques, brings the network back to its legitimate state when the topology is changed due to node leaves. Battery-powered sensor nodes may face many problems, such as battery drain and software problems. Have you ever bought a new WiFi router, powered it up, and found out that things are not going quite as planned? Well, you are not alone and you certainly won’t be the last one to run into this issue. ![]() This blog specifically addresses the most common environment - a single WiFi router or modem/router combo. Welcome to the first installment of a three part series, all addressing how to get the most from your WiFi in various situations. Written by Don Schultz, trueCABLE Technical Sales Representative & Fluke Networks Certified Technician However, you do still need to select the Range Extender network each time you go back to that room with the dodgy Wi-Fi.How to Boost Your WiFi Signal: Working With a Single WiFi Router You’ve already entered the router’s Wi-Fi password into the app, so you don’t need to do this again. If you move into a room that can’t pick up the Wi-Fi from the router then you can switch to the Range Extender network to improve reception. If we go back to our smartphone’s Wi-Fi Settings panel, we can now see that we have two distinct networks - the main router (0606 Hyperoptic) on both 2.4GHz and 5.0GHz bands, and the Range Extender network, which is also on 2.4GHz and 5.0GHz bands. The TP-Link app also includes a ‘location assistant’ feature that can help you to find the best location for the range extender. However, the app is telling us that there’s a very good connection between the router and the range extender, so we can still move the range extender further away from the router without losing the connection. At the moment, we’ve got the range extender positioned about halfway between our main router and our home office where the Wi-Fi signal tends to be a bit weak. Now take a look at the range extender’s app. However, it adds ‘EXT’ on the end - 0606 Hyperoptic 1GB Fibre 5G_EXT - so that you can still tell the range extender’s new network apart from the router’s normal network. At the start of the set-up process, the range extender’s Wi-Fi network was called TP-Link_Extender on both the 2.4GHz and 5.0GHz bands.īut now that the range extender is linked to our router, the app changes the name of the range extender Wi-Fi to use the same name - 0606 Hyperoptic - as our router’s Wi-Fi network. This is where things can get a little confusing. Once this is done, the range extender is linked to the router on both Wi-Fi bands, and this allows the range extender to act as a kind of relay so that your computers and mobile devices in rooms that normally have poor Wi-Fi can now link to your router via the range extender. You’ll also need to repeat the process for the 5GHz band as well. This allows the range extender to connect its own 2.4GHz Wi-Fi signal to the 2.4GHz signal of our main router. The app now asks you to enter the password for your router’s 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. We now need to select the router’s 2.4GHz network so that the app can link the router and the range extender together. The app will probably start with the 2.4GHz band, and you can see our 0606 Hyperoptic 2.4GHz router network right at the top of the list. The app will then scan the area and show all the other Wi-Fi networks that it has detected. Most manufacturers will ask you to enter an email address and password in order to create a private account. Now that we’ve connected our smartphone to the range extender, we can launch the TP-Link app. Alternatively, you can just tap on TP-Link_Extender_2.4GHz to connect your smartphone to the range extender. If you used WPS to get started, you may already be connected to the range extender. You can also see that the range extender is transmitting its own wi-fi signals - again on the 2.4GHz and 5.0GHz bands - called TP-Link_Extender_2.4GHz and TP-Link_Extender_5GHz. Our normal router is called 0606 Hyperoptic, and you can see that it transmits Wi-Fi on both the 2.4GHz and 5.0GHz bands. Connecting the Wi-Fi range extenderīefore you launch the extender’s app, just go into the Wi-Fi Settings panel on your smartphone or tablet. ![]() In the final version, no centaurs appeared in The Great Pyramid, though the enemy can still be found in the level's WAD. In The Great Pyramid, a lone centaur can be found in the chamber housing the Scion. In a September 4th build of the original Tomb Raider, all Atlantean Centaurs are untextured at this point in development, appearing only in flat red or white colours. While they are first encountered as bosses in front of the Tomb of Tihocan, they later appear as regular enemies in Atlantis. ![]() Shoot the stone centaur until it's dead and repeat the process with the other centaur. Now Lara can use the shield to have the centaur turn itself into stone. Successfully perform the adrenaline dodge and use the grappling hook to disarm the stunned centaur of his shield. When they are enraged the second time, one of them will charge towards Lara. Though, if Lara does end up turning into stone, the player must repeatedly move the joystick left and right to break free. This can be avoided by looking away from them. Here, they have the ability to turn Lara into stone with their greenish colored energy when they get enraged the first time. They have far more health than the average atlantean and are capable of quickly sapping Lara's health away. In Tomb Raider: Anniversary, these centaurs in the Tomb of Tihocan run at very high speeds, attempting to stomp on Lara as well as pelting her with fireballs. Side-flipping left and right while shooting is the best way to take them down, if they're alone. ![]() The centaurs look much like their Atlantean cousins: red, fleshy skin, muscles showing etc. In TRA, however, they have monstrous torsoes and a horse-head, as well as having skin. In TR1, they resemble Half-Man, Half-Horse hybrids, but have no skin. They only move when Lara is out of range. Atlantean centaurs are enemies that appear in Tomb Raider, Tomb Raider: Unfinished Business and Tomb Raider: Anniversary. In Tomb Raider, the centaurs usually stand still and shoot their fireballs at Lara. Also in Anniversary, their heads look much more like horses but smaller than those of the Atlantean Soldiers. In Anniversary, they lack pupils from their eyes, as does every enemy in Anniversary, so that is more than likely an error than an actual thing. They look like a regular Atlantean Soldier, but replace the legs with a horse body. ![]() The difference between chatbot UI and chatbot UX design In turn, a good chatbot layout contributes to a better user experience (UX). The studies confirm my observations, showing that 91% of users prefer visual content over text-based. And businesses want the same when building their bots – they crave visual code-free editors.Īt the same time, the command-line interface (CLI) is slowly losing its relevance as a text-based design is less flexible and can be anything but intuitive. Users prefer to interact with electronic devices through visual elements like icons, menus, and graphics. If I had to sum up everything that I learned about the best chatbot UI design nowadays, I’d say that graphical user interface (GUI) takes the stage.
When you're all done beading, you will go back and deal with that extra little thread. As you tie this knot, be sure to leave four to six inches of excess thread. You threaded the needle, and now you just need to tie a knot near where you will begin beading (left-side warp thread). In the last step, you cut off a piece of thread about 3 feet in length. But, I managed to get it threaded eventually. This part was a bit tricky for me, since the needle openings are so very small. Next, take out your needle and thread it with a few feet of the bead weaving thread. Then, I separated the threads slightly so that they went along the ridges of the bolt and were ready to be used. I didn't really need to fully tie a knot. My method to achieve the tight threads was to attach the top part to the eye-bolt and then I pulled it tight and actually wrapped the bottom end around the bottom eye-bolt and slapped on some duct tape. This may be a little tricky with this basic loom, but once you get it, just be sure the threads are nice and tight. Then, use your hand to figure out the thread placement, so the pieces can be separated and the other end tied to the other eye-bolt. Some people create a loop knot and just place it over the eye-bolt. Tie a knot at the end, around the eye bolt if necessary, to attach or secure the top part to the weaving loom. The larger (wider) bracelet used 11 threads and the smaller one used 9 threads.Once you figure out what you want to create, you can then cut out the correct number of threads, which are generally called warp threads. I made two bracelets and provided two design templates. If using a basic setup like this, you should also have some duct tape on hand, in case it's needed to help you keep the threads tightly attached. These are placed there so the beginning and end of the threads can be attached to something. Lastly, I added eye-bolts an inch or so behind the attached top pieces of wood. ![]() And, the ridges on the screw act as a nice holder and separator for the thread. Then, I drilled holes and attached two eye-bolts so I could place the large bolt through (see image for closeup). In the future, if I make a really nice loom, I will use 1 inch pieces attached to the main board. If you notice I have strangely shaped pieces attached, it is just because that is what I had available. I drilled the two small pieces onto the main board. For my loom, I allowed for 8 inches of space between the two attached pieces of wood. Basically, you will need to attach the two smaller pieces of wood onto the main piece. If you leave more space between the bolts, it will allow you to make something longer, like a necklace. It needs to be long enough to provide you enough space to weave your bracelet. The distance between the two bolts is really up to you. Some people prefer to use a piece that is about six inches wide. If you have a wider piece of wood than what I used, that would be ideal. My long piece of wood is two inches wide by about 16 inches long. For my loom and materials, I crawled over some items in my garage to gather up some scrap pieces of wood, bolts and screws. If you already have a loom, skip the next two paragraphs please. The site is incredible because you can make a really quick design, or even upload a photo and it will convert it into a cross-stitch design which can be used for this bead weaving project. If you like, you can make your own pattern on this website at no cost. I have both patterns available for you here. I made two bracelets for this Instructable. Optional: you may want to get a threading tool, since it is very difficult to thread these tiny needle
